About Us
Our Story
The Scarlett’s Charm story began when I was laid off two weeks before returning from maternity leave in 2020. I saw a Facebook ad for a store in North Carolina selling oyster shells that were decoupaged with beautiful designs and hand painted with gold leaf. They were transformed into unique ring dishes and ornaments and because I am originally from North Carolina, it spoke to me on several levels. I talked about it so much that my husband finally told me to buy the things to make them and try it! The rest is history. I gave them to friends and family and before I knew it, stores downtown were carrying them and from there it took off. When the first store asked me what the business name was, I was trying to twist the words southern charm around with other words, and suddenly I heard my newborn Scarlett make a baby noise and I looked down at her sweet face and knew that it had to be named, Scarlett’s Charm. Now four years later, and after a lot of thought, love, support and prayer, we have a brick and mortar store.
My grandmother was the entertaining queen and my mom is as well, although she would never admit it! They are my inspiration for Scarlett’s Charm, as the focus is to provide entertaining essentials and gifts with a personal guide to help you wade the waters of entertaining, as my grandmother and mom have done for me.
We can sit down together and choose dinnerware, glassware and linens for you, for the bride to be or add to a friend’s existing collection. Even if you are at the stage of giving away entertaining items, we will always be your store to find beautiful, thoughtful gifts and the newest, coolest kitchen gadgets. P.S. We will have a bridal registry in the future!
