About Us
Our Story
The Scarlett’s Charm story began in 2020, when I was laid off just two weeks before returning from maternity leave. In the middle of that uncertainty, I came across a Facebook ad for a small North Carolina shop selling oyster shells—delicately decoupaged, gold-leafed, and transformed into beautiful ring dishes and ornaments. Being originally from North Carolina, something about them spoke to me deeply.
I talked about those shells so much that my husband finally said, “Just buy the things and try it!” And so I did. I made my first few pieces, gave them to friends and family, and before long, stores downtown were asking to carry them. That’s when everything began to grow.
When the very first store asked for my business name, I was playing with versions of “southern charm.” As I sat there searching for the right words, my newborn Scarlett let out the sweetest little sound. I looked at her tiny face and instantly knew—this had to be Scarlett’s Charm.
Five years later, after so much love, support, courage, and prayer, that little idea born from oyster shells and a newborn baby has grown into a brick-and-mortar store full of gifts, entertaining essentials, and moments that mean something.
My grandmother was the queen of entertaining, and my mom is too—though she’d never admit it! They are the heart and inspiration behind Scarlett’s Charm. Just as they guided me through the world of hosting, setting a table, and choosing pieces that matter, my goal is to help you wade those same waters with confidence and joy.
